AAA Expands Bike Service to all of Minnesota
AAA Clubs of Minnesota Promote “Bike to a Branch” Campaign
BURNSVILLE, MN. (April 28, 2016) - AAA Minnesota, a part of The Auto Club Group serving all of Minnesota except Hennepin County, is expanding bike service throughout the state beginning this Sunday May 1st. Previously, only AAA Minneapolis provided the service to its members inside of Hennepin County. To highlight the expansion, the AAA clubs will be promoting it as part of a “Bike to a Branch” campaign throughout the month of May.

During “Bike to a Branch” in May any adult AAA member wearing a helmet who rides a bicycle to any AAA Branch Office may purchase half-priced Associate memberships and upgrades. Any child joining their parent in riding a bicycle to a branch while wearing a helmet will receive a free DQ ice cream coupon. Information will also be available about the bike transport coverage.

This new service applies to all bicycles and tandems, including rental bicycles and bicycle trailers, if it is accessible from the road and service can be safely delivered using normal servicing equipment. Bicycle transport coverage is provided to a member whose bicycle has become disabled or inoperable.
Transportation service will be provided to any point of safety within the limits of the member’s coverage:
Classic – up to a 5-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown
Plus – up to a 100-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown
Premier – one service call up to a 200-mile radius of the bicycle breakdown while the remaining services calls for the membership year are up to a 100-mile radius.
